Okay...so that went well!

How did my determination to keep my blog going fail? Ha! 

Anyway, I have decided that I will turn this blog in to a teaching/life blog as teaching pretty much is my life! I begin back at school on the 1st of September and I will try and do a report on each day (?!), maybe post some resources and photos of my classroom.

I am now working at a small (read tiny) rural school and have passed my NQT year - hurrah! I love the school I work at and think I have settled in quite well. Last year I was teaching Reception, Year One and Year Two (no big deal!). This year I have a larger Reception class and 1 Year One :). 

Might even set a reminder on my phone so I don't forget to blog :p.

New Beginnings...

I am SO determined this time to keep going with my blog...so much has changed in, oh gosh, two years!

Here is a list of things that have happened in the last two years:

• I have now completed university, a PGCE Primary qualification (toughest year of my life) and I am currently a very lucky, NQT at a beautiful Nursery School.

• My boyfriend now has a successful business selling yarn and craft products! Exciting!

• I went on my dream holiday to California for 3 weeks in June/July 2011, I am now looking forwards to going to Florida in March and perhaps Center Parcs with my group of friends, our first holiday together, in June (hopefully!).

• One of my best friends gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who is 2 in April :)

• My other best friend started a Secondary PGCE last year :)

• A cat decided to adopt our family!!!

So...everything is looking very positive :)

 

Back again...

It has been an interesting few weeks...ish

Mainly my weeks have consisted of University assignment/project work and WORK. So, my life at the moment has been uninteresting and, I thought, unbloggable (? =p).

I work at a department store and they have been having some problems with the sprinkler system in the store so have consequently had "overnight teams" in to check areas for fire (and also do price checking/delivery/tidying etc.) So, I jumped at the chance to do a few as you get paid extra money after 11pm (the shifts have been 6pm-5am). I did the first a couple of weeks ago and I was SO tired after, but now this week having finished my fourth over night shift yesterday morning I have become almost nocturnal, a night owl (!) and have definitely become  used to the idea of eating at strange times.

One problem I did have this week was, my normal shift is 7.5 hours on a Saturday (don't ask about the half, I don't even think my employers know why this is =p) and so on Saturday I went to work, tired, but excited that I would be seeing my boyfriend that night. La la la... It gets to around 11am, two hours into my shift, and I get a call to the office, my first reaction is "SUGAR! What have I done now, did I give a customer the wrong change?!" When I get to the office I am told that I was supposed to be doing the over night shift THAT NIGHT and, to cut a long story short, I was sent home to "sleep" and come back at 6pm where I would help with cashing up and start my over night haul.

Anyhow! I am (semi) back to normal for this week and plan to use this week to develop my ICT Project for Uni, as well as baking some cakes, seeing my boyfriend (finally) annnnnd seeing my two best friends =)

Sounds good to me =)

Shop-a-thon!

Today, I went on my first shopping trip of the year...

It was also my first 'sale' shop as I work in shop and have seen nothing but sales for the past few weeks, so really haven't felt like shopping.

I went to Solihull, Touchwood Shopping Centre and was there for around six hours =O, my feet are REALLY sore now :(

BUT, I bought some lovely stuff!!!

• I got a really pretty ANIMAL hold-all for my trip to America this year! From John Lewis was £95 now £66 (Fig. 1)
• An beautiful winter coat from ESPIRIT - was £170 now £63.99
• A pair of bow shoes from EAST - were £28 now £14 (Fig.2)
• AND a cute tan skinny belt from H&M - £3.99

I've wanted to do this for a long time and thanks to reading up on a few blogs recently I have finally found the courage to take the plunge =]

There are some amazing bloggers out there, this is not my first attempt at a blog but, I think its my first serious attempt at one...

This blog will be for anything from product reviews (make up, technology, books), to general STUFF about me and my life...
